Adios San Juan De Limay

With a lot of hugs and tears we said goodbye to our friends at Calvary Chapel San Juan De Limay. The week is flying by for the team as we depart for Guatemala on Sunday. This has been such a blessed team and trip.

Pastor Vicente his wife Claribel and some of his children. (From left to right) Roberto, Esteban, Vicente, Rorie, Claribel, Angelica, Emma, Vicente Jr. and nephew (I can’t remember his name)

This morning the guys on the team were up at 5:30 am as we had the job of cooking breakfast for the team and Pastor Vicente’s family. After breakfast Josh Pelletier led us in devotions from Genesis 18 on the blessings and protection that is found only in The Lord.

Following that we packed the bus and then walked around the village. It seemed as if we had stepped in time as we walked the cobblestone streets with mostly horses and OC carts.

Nicaragua is the second poorest nation in Latin America. Limay is one of the poorest areas in Nicaragua. Many of the children in the surrounding villages are malnourished and CCSJDL has taken to feeding 25 to 30 people every Sunday. Of course the need is much greater but it is all they can afford.

It is a great work that The Lord is doing here and I thank God for the opportunity to come back.

Please continue to pray for the health and strength of the team as they are tired but doing well. Also, pray for Jake Randall as he is teaching the youth group tonight.
