We are down in Cantamar, Mexico training some men from Calvary Chapel of Tijuana to be police and fire chaplains in Tijuana. This will be the first chaplaincy program ever in all of Mexico.
We have already done 16 hours of training with them and by the end of the week will have completed 40 hours of training. I am here with my wife Carol, Kevin and Dianna Torrence as well as Ray and Suzanne Thompson. While we are reaching the men, the ladies are learning about sharing the hope and love of the Lord with those in crisis as well as how to minister to their husbands who are working as chaplains.
Please pray for understanding as the ladies are having to use translators to teach. Also, we are giving them a lot of information so pray they will be able to take the information and apply it.
Every day we begin in devotions. Today Ray shared from Jeremiah 12 about perseverance.
Ray is teaching the Incident Command System which is an organized way of dealing with overwhelming circumstances.
Suzanne teaches about sharing hope in crisis.
