We arrived in Nepal a little tired for more than 24 hours of travel but none the worse for wear. Everyone is doing well. Pray for a quick recovery from jet lag. We had a quick devotional and team meeting tonight before everyone went to bed.
I shared from Joshua 3
Joshua 3:2-5 NKJV – “2 So it was, after three days, that the officers went through the camp; 3 and they commanded the people, saying, “When you see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests, the Levites, bearing it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it. 4 “Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. Do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed this way before.” 5 And Joshua said to the people, “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you.””
Five of our US Team Members have been to Nepal before. Two of our team is not only new to Nepal but as I said before new to missions. We have also been joined by Wesley Seamonds from India who we served with recently in New Delhi and Rajiv and Prakash who are live here and work for Anchored Relief as well as Promise Child. Even for those of us who live and work, or have been here before, here these words ring true. We do not know what lies ahead and so we must keep our eyes on Christ and seek Him for wisdom and discernment. Everyone is excited for whatever the Lord has for us.
Tomorrow we are up at 8:00 am for breakfast, team devotions and our first orientation meeting. We hit the ground running tomorrow to get everything ready for our trip into the village on Thursday so pray for strength.
