Prayer Update from Nepal Team

Yesterday was our first full day in Nepal. Though the team was tired and still fighting jet lag they worked hard in getting our supplies organized and the flannel graph assembled. Tony led our morning devotions and shared from Joshua 1.

“Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.
8 “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

He said that we don’t know what lies ahead. We need to follow the Lord as Israel followed the cloud by day and the pilar by night. We must meditate on God’s word and know that at the end of the day it’s not our work. Even if we have been here before we come in new and must hear from the Lord.

We also completed our in-country orientation and cultural awareness training. The afternoon was spent shopping and preparing our supplies and equipment for the trip into our village.

Today we will finish packing our gear and prepare for a very early departure tomorrow. We fly into the village by helicopter at 6:00 am and have to be at the airport around 5:15 am.

Pray for continued strength for the team. I am so impressed by the servants hearts of everyone on this team. They are working well together and have great attitudes despite being tired. We will be sleeping in tents and doing a lot of hiking as we visit the different villages in our area to share the Gospel.

Pray for all our preparations and packing to be complete. Our village is very remote and we have to fly in everything we need. We have to take 3 helicopters and must coordinate each one by weight and prioritize our cargo.

Pray for continued unity on the team and a oneness of heart, mind and spirit. We have not had one problem amongst the team members and are so thankful to the Lord.

Pray for continued health and traveling mercies for tomorrow’s travel.

We will try to send out updates from the villages but communication is very limited. Thank you all for standing with us in prayer.
