|3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,|
|4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
Tony shared this verse this morning at team devotions. He spoke about how inadequate we all must feel being here. Yet God has equipped us. All of us have gone through some level of suffering and God ministered to us. We have learned of his faithfulness and can share it with those we meet. How prophetic his words were.
Today was a busy day as we helped one of the Baton Rouge PD widows pack her home and moving pod. I was so blessed by the way our whole team worked so hard. Dechia was so blessed and surprised at how efficient Tony was at repacking her pod. When we arrived her pod was full but we were able to organize it so it was only half full. Debbie was able to sit and talk to Dechia’s late husband’s mom and minster to her. All the team is doing so well.

Tonight, Carol and I were privileged to attend an dinner with the three widows from the sniper attack along with three other police widows. It was so heartbreaking on the one hand to hear the pain of their loss and how their children are trying to cope without their fathers. This verses came to mind as we had the opportunity to share Christ with them. We told them that God loved them and that he wanted them to come to Him. He has seen their tears and heard their cries. He will never leave them alone.
Please continue to pray for the three wives that lost their husbands to a sniper on July 17th. Pray for their children, that God would meet them in their hour of need. Pray for their extended family as they are all hurting. Pray that the words spoken tonight would take root in their hearts. Pray for the team as we have another busy day ahead of us.
