We have been so blessed to be a part of the second annual Calvary Chapel Association East Africa Senior Pastors and Wives Conference here in Uganda. We have more than 50 couples from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi and Zambia. What a joy it is to see them having times of relaxation and refreshment as couples are being built up in the word. Pastor Jim taught this morning at the conference and tonight at Calvary Chapel of Entebbe where he and Patti ministered back in 2011. Our team has been such a blessing. They are all servants and each serves a very important role in the ministry here. Ray Thompson taught about ministering in the midst of crisis and one of the wives told Carol how important that was as her church is ministering to thousands of refugees from war torn South Sudan.
The theme of our conference is “Faithful Love” from 1 Corinthians 4:1-5. We have taught on servanthood, stewardship, being unappreciated and serving from a heart of gratitude. We exhorted the husbands to love their wives the way Christ loved the church and wives to love, respect and submit to their husbands. In addition the one on one ministry for both the men and the ladies on our team has been tremendous. Keep praying for strength and wisdom for our ministry team as well as the open hearts and minds of the participants. We are all doing well and thank you for your prayers.
Praising God for His faithfulness.
