“…Assuredly I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these. My brethren , you did it to me.” – Matthew 25:40
The team split into two once again and the medical team stayed back to continue with medical outreach. The medical outreach was specific and serving which was catered to the elderly.
The away team went out to another village to pray with and spend some time with a church plant – Calvary Chapel North Soroti. The church was literally under a small tree and we met and prayed with Senior Pastor and Assistant Pastor.
They were able to purchase a plot of land not far from the tree but they need additional provision and direction. But the most important prayer request is for favor with the surrounding community and village and opportunities to minister to the people living there.
We were able to come alongside the new church and the school of ministry students and we did home visits through the turkey project. The turkey project is way in which they support the people in the village with two turkeys and after they bred and are stable they have to repay back to the church the two plus two so they can use for another candidate.
The program is a way the people form the church can follow up with the recipient and pray and disciple them.
We also visited a local nursery school to share about God with them, play a couple games them, sing some songs, and give them a special treat. ( cookies and a sticker )
The medical team got to minister to over 117 people.
More to come…
