Update 4 from Puerto Rico

Isaiah 6:8. “Here I am Lord, send me.”

Today, we were blessed to be a part of a team that helped take food and water to a very remote town in the El Yunque National Forest.  We started at base camp in Benitez, with people from Calvary Chapel Puerto Rico and other volunteers helping the National guard unload the food and water.  We then broke into groups with the community leaders to distribute these items.  Our leader was named Virginia.  We followed her to a very remote town deep in the mountains, which is a rain forest and where she lives.  These small towns have not had any help since the hurricane.  Unfortunately, this was the first time they were getting food and water.  The people (a lot of elderly) have been without electricity and water for 6 months.  One 92 year old man, who lives by himself has to walk to the river for water daily and the river water is bad.    All people were open to prayer, so we had the opportunity to pray with them.  It was very humbling how the Lord allowed us to be a part of this outreach giving all glory to God.
