Urgent Prayer Request from Pastor Charles in Uganda

Dear co-laborer,

Hope this finds you well. It was unfortunate that when a cyclist was getting arrested yesterday evening by the Uganda Revenue Authority at Yumbe town (next town to Midigo), he resisted the arrest which led to him getting serious injuries. Today in the morning, the violent boys and other community members tried to attack the armed Revenue Authority which led to shooting some people of whom many were injured and 5 – 10 people died.

Unfortunately, the focus of violence shifted by attacking non residents of the area accusing them of having taking their jobs of working in the Refugee camp from the UNHCR. They are attacking these non resident workers. But also knowing that these non resident workers (mostly from central Uganda) are not Muslim; creates much danger as many of these workers are Christians. The violent community has burnt NGO Vehicles and motorcycles. Also we have received many casualties at Midigo hospital. The critically injured who need specialized surgery are being referred to Arua regional hospital.

Please pray for peace and protection upon our lives and church.

  1. Dear brethren,

These are indeed the last days. Well I have prayed that The Lord would fight on your behalf, and that his mighty angels would subdue the evil. Also, that those that are injured would recover. I know our church prays for you each week. And we are instant in prayer in season and out of season.

  2. Praying for you and this serious situation. May all be surrounded by the protection of the Lords mighty angles. Praying for the injured and the families of the ones that have died.
    Love and Blessings,
