Charles Jjagwe- Calvary Chapel Midigo
o Concluded phase three discipleship sessions for the former Muslim converts. We thank God for the stability of the two young men who are attending church despite the threats from their Muslim families. The other 6 former Muslims who were part of the discipleship class are attending fellowships in the churches near their home places.
o We are amazed of how God is protecting Rasul despite the conspiracy of the relatives to harm him.
o The women’s conference at Calvary Chapel Midigo was successful. The women had a wonderful time of worship, studying of God’s word under the topic of “Discovering our gifts and how to use them to serve God by ministering to other people”.
o Relative peace at the Boarder of Uganda with South Sudan. The schools near Midigo that had closed due to the spill of fighting have now been opened
o Completion of the first term of my children’s studies for the year 2018. My children have completed their first term of studies – We thank God who provided for the tuition of the term and pray for the provision of second term that will begin at the end of the month of May 2018
o Continued support for the ministry needs. We are enabled to run most of the ministry activities because of the continued financial, moral and spiritual support
o Regular teaching of God’s word is transforming many lives in the church.
o Most of the Leaders and their spouses have arrived safely for a three days’ retreat at Arua. Pray that God will minister to us as we spend time in His presence through worship, teaching of His word, fellowshipping with one another and encouraging each other. This has attracted 5 Calvary Chapel leaders in the Region!
o Continued provision for the ministry and individual needs.
o Wisdom and God’s leading upon the leaders
o Fruitful Scripture Union Conference from May 6th- 9th, 2018. The conference will be attended by at least 200 High school students. Pray for the anointing upon the speakers and protection as we arrange and facilitate this conference at Midigo
o Peace and conviction upon the community as we join with Youth With a Mission (YWAM) ministry and move from home to home sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.
o God’s provision for the High School Construction.
o Safety as Senior Pastors and their wives travel to attend the Conference from May 22nd- 25th, 2018. Pray for the Speakers as they travel from USA to Uganda, their health and God’s anointing during the teaching sessions. We expect to host 70 couples from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, South Sudan and Zambia.
o God’s provision for the drilling of a big production well to provide water to the expanded Midigo hospital and the staff premises. There has been a sudden increase in the patients and the staff which has led to water scarcity
o Passing of Visa interviews at the Uganda American Embassy on 8th May 2018. This will determine the grant Visa to enable me attend the Pastors and Leaders conference in Chino Hills, California.
