Another trip to Baton Rouge and another blessing from the Lord. It was such a blessing to visit the people of Baton Rouge that have become family. The spouses luncheon was an encouragement to all who attended. We laughed, we cried and we praised the Lord for His goodness, faithfulness and love.

We went to love on the people and they loved on us. One of the officers that had surgery to correct some herniated discs a few months ago cooked dinner for our team along with a few others with her son in his restaurant. She said after all you have done for us we wanted to give something back.

The Chaplains training ended up being a debriefing for them. They taught us as they shared their broken hearts from the tragedies of life. Without Christ not one of us in that room could have survived without His love, grace and mercy.

Meeting with Duren’s family is always a highlight of our time. Our hearts have been knit together through tragedy and yet God is bringing beauty out of ashes.

It always amazes me how God brings our teams together. He truly handpicks our teams, molds us into one as we move across cities, states or countries.

May the Love of Christ abound in your hearts as you in obedience answer the call to be His hands and feet whether it be in in your family, or a neighbor, here or there. May God receive all the praise, honor and glory due His name.

Thank you for the privilege of being sent.

Romans 10:15

And how can anyone tell them without being sent by the Lord? The Scriptures say it is a beautiful sight to see even the feet of someone coming to preach the good news.

Love in Christ,

Carol
