Uganda update!

Good morning prayer warriors!! We feel your prayers so mightily!! πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ™
THANK YOU FOR GOING BEFORE THE LORD ON OUR BEHALF!
God has been SO faithful to answer your prayers!

Well, we got a late start yesterday heading to the hospital. And sure enough on our way we came upon an accident. A toddler had run out in the road in front of a motorcycle. He had cuts and scrapes and needed some stitches. We scooped him up along with his father, cleaned him up on the bus and brought him with us to the hospital. It was God’s timing and intervention, for sure! I ran into them a little later as they were leaving, all patched up and filled his little pocket with m&ms.πŸ’™πŸ’šπŸ§‘β€HALLELUJAH.

We were overwhelmed by the crowds at the hospital yesterday. They came to receive medical attention, prenatal care and some of them in labor.
Besides giving medical care and treatments, we were able to minister in prayer. Many received the Lord Jesus as Savior as we shared our testimonies and the Good News of the Gospel while serving at the hospital! GLORY TO GOD! New Ugandan family members. πŸ™‚
I also treated my first malaria patient. She was quite Ill and 28 weeks pregnant and in so much pain!
Another patient received the news of a positive HIV diagnosis, it broke my heart. We prayed and counseled her. I have so much respect for the midwives here, what a load they carry!

Taylor spent the day at the clinic taking vital signs in triage and checking in patients. She even gave a tetanus injection! She was THRILLED!! She has jumped right in and I’m so proud of her! ❀❀Our medical team worked a long day! I love these hard working young girls! They are so ready to serve and to love!
I gave a refresher class to 6 of the midwives, a review of post partum hemorrhage. We had a great discussion about similarities and differences in the way we treat our patients. We learn from each other!

In our morning devotions we’re working thru a beautiful little book, THE CALVARY WAY, by Roy Hession! It’s about revival… and it starts with me! SO GOOD! If you haven’t read it… πŸ‘πŸ‘It’s definitely humbling. Ouch!

I’ll leave you with a few pics & a quote from our team leader, Pastor Gary.

“How beautiful that the Lord sends us out to serve Him and then ministers to us!” πŸ˜‰Yep!

May the Lord Jesus bless you and keep you and yours!
