Prayer for Tony and Hilda Heindl

Please be in prayer for Tony and Hilda. As you know we have been lifting them up as Hilda has battled cancer for the last two months. She is now on the brink of going home to be with Jesus. The doctors have said it is imminent. Please keep them in your prayers especially for Tony as his wife of 41 years goes before him to heaven. I know that God can still heal her and we anointed her with oil and laid hands on her so if that is His will we pray for a miracle that only He can perform.

Prayer update for Hilda Heindl

Dear Family and Friends,

Today was a busy day with getting Hilda transported to a pre-chemo assessment meeting. Followed by Physical Therapy.

As of this evening, the second chemo is scheduled for 09:00am tomorrow.

The nausea, seems better under control and Hilda ate yesterday pretty good. Then tonight she took a bit of dinner,

My sister Elizabeth had a capital idea yesterday. She said make some home made soup, That is what she did when my Mom was going through her rehabilitation, and it is what Elizabeth still does for her daughter Erika. So with that in mind, I did some shopping last night and made our usual homemade chicken soup in the Instant Pot. I get the benefit of the soup with all the ingredients and Hilda gets the clear broth that she needs. She liked it.

Things I thought I knew and am learning over or differently; Leave room for God to work. Take more breaks. Listening to the Holy Spirit. Trying to get through the whole day and, if I look back, it was a success, God took care of many things. So why do I think I need to push a program? I came back from lunch at Chick Fil A and HIlda was up with the Physical Therapy folks and all done. I didn’t have a chance to try and get her up, or preach at her that the PT is good for her.

Please keep tomorrows chemo in prayer as Hilda is weak. They won’t be hitting her with a full force chemo because that my cause more bad than good. Nevertheless its chemo with what we are calling leaving room for God to work. Some drugs are already in process today

Hilda is sleeping now,

Thank you and God bless you all.

Update on Hilda Heindl

Dear Family and Friends,

From nausea to not eating.

The nausea is still there from time to time, and I think Hilda will do anything not to throw up, at least that is how she has always been.

So, even though she probably could and should eat and drink more, her mindset is that if there isn’t anything in there, then I won’t throw up. She took some water, yogurt a spoon or so, some pudding, but not near enough,

So this is leaving her weaker, rather than stronger, so please pray for her to be able to overcome this.

I am able to eat pretty well, but also am losing weight. Not that I don’t need to lose weight anyway. It’s partly do to the activity, I think I am doing nothing, but the reality is, I help with bed rotations, running back and forth to the fridge getting whatever I think she might eat. Today I walked to one of her doctors that is nearby, it adds up, only a mile or so. My usual is 4 to 7 miles of walking per day on the job.

Spiritually, studying about the Holy Spirit. The one who is the parakletes, who is ever present, omnipotent and who I need to come along side and help me. The Holy Spirit is the helper. I want to do things in the Spirit.

My Family Leave Act came through. It was approved last week, but I followed up with my employer today and after a while of searching, they found it. Thank you for praying for that.

Tonight they drew some blood for a pre-chemo meeting on Wednesday. Depending on what the results are, the second chemo is scheduled for Thursday Oct 10, Hilda is pretty weak so we will see. They most likely will have to put her in a bed for it, as she won’t be able to be up for the 10 hour infusion, so please pray about this upcoming second chemo. Much appreciated.

Thank you for your prayers for Hilda and me.

Tony

Prayer update from Tony and Hilda

Dear Family and Friends,
Hilda has developed thrush. It freaked me out when I first saw her tongue this afternoon, The nurse came checked it and called the doctor who has prescribed an oral wash for this, apparently common malady. One more thing to add to the affliction pile. The wash gets here around midnight.
Today Hilda and I had some visitors, Anna her older sister came with my brother in law John. Also John L and Rita, long time friends from Worship Community at Calvary Costa Mesa came. It was the Lord.
I went to Poiema fellowship for church and was ministered to, I was fighting back tears through worship, it was hard to offer praise. Then after worship during the break different people came up and we shared and I answered the questions as best I could about Hilda. So many people love her and are praying for her. Michael Sewell and I have an interesting non-verbal communication method. I hug him, he hugs me back. I take in a couple of very deep breaths, we look each other in the eyes and say nothing, yet all is said and heard.
Connie, thank you for your love note cards( for Hilda). Lee and Shilrley thank you for your cards and love. Lois and Larry, Joe A for praying over me. David and Marie same thing, love and prayers. There were so many encounters, if I didn’t mention it please overlook it. Thankyou
I came to church because I know I needed to be there to get built up one way or the other, I left strong,
Praying my Job situation gets sorted. Tomorrow I will get up at about 4am to try to communicate with the company about my Family Leave Act paperwork. Hopefully they received it from Hilda’s doctor. This all has to be faxed, no email allowed for the doctors side of things.

Thank you so much for your prayers and love.

Prayer update for Hilda Heindl

Hi Gary, here is the update for Hilda today. Dear Friends and Family,
Hilda is weakened by all that has happened to her. She is able to take some physical therapy. The hospital has her getting out of bed, standing and doing some Occupational Therapy such as brushing her teeth, combing hair. All with the intention of being strengthened enough to be able to do these things upon returning home.
The first round of chemo was done a few days ago, Hilda took the Chemo well and didn’t suffer any real side effects. This is an answer to prayer, thank you Lord!
The next step is to be released from the hospital and placed in a skilled nursing facility to continue to rehabilitate and gain strength. Logistics take time to coordinate.
As for me, yes I am tired and feel a bit physically beat up, sometimes, when I look too far ahead or lose focus on today’s steps I am reminded not to say and or try to do too much. Some people I hear from say they are feeling helpless, and that all they can do is pray. Well prayer is everything in this case. Prayer for the sick: James 5:14-15 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. Her as is the case here.
Many of you have inquired how you can help. I have some ideas and will contact you as the need arises.
