Prayer update from Tony and Hilda

Dear Family and Friends,
Hilda has developed thrush. It freaked me out when I first saw her tongue this afternoon, The nurse came checked it and called the doctor who has prescribed an oral wash for this, apparently common malady. One more thing to add to the affliction pile. The wash gets here around midnight.
Today Hilda and I had some visitors, Anna her older sister came with my brother in law John. Also John L and Rita, long time friends from Worship Community at Calvary Costa Mesa came. It was the Lord.
I went to Poiema fellowship for church and was ministered to, I was fighting back tears through worship, it was hard to offer praise. Then after worship during the break different people came up and we shared and I answered the questions as best I could about Hilda. So many people love her and are praying for her. Michael Sewell and I have an interesting non-verbal communication method. I hug him, he hugs me back. I take in a couple of very deep breaths, we look each other in the eyes and say nothing, yet all is said and heard.
Connie, thank you for your love note cards( for Hilda). Lee and Shilrley thank you for your cards and love. Lois and Larry, Joe A for praying over me. David and Marie same thing, love and prayers. There were so many encounters, if I didn’t mention it please overlook it. Thankyou
I came to church because I know I needed to be there to get built up one way or the other, I left strong,
Praying my Job situation gets sorted. Tomorrow I will get up at about 4am to try to communicate with the company about my Family Leave Act paperwork. Hopefully they received it from Hilda’s doctor. This all has to be faxed, no email allowed for the doctors side of things.

Thank you so much for your prayers and love.

Prayer update for Hilda Heindl

Hi Gary, here is the update for Hilda today. Dear Friends and Family,
Hilda is weakened by all that has happened to her. She is able to take some physical therapy. The hospital has her getting out of bed, standing and doing some Occupational Therapy such as brushing her teeth, combing hair. All with the intention of being strengthened enough to be able to do these things upon returning home.
The first round of chemo was done a few days ago, Hilda took the Chemo well and didn’t suffer any real side effects. This is an answer to prayer, thank you Lord!
The next step is to be released from the hospital and placed in a skilled nursing facility to continue to rehabilitate and gain strength. Logistics take time to coordinate.
As for me, yes I am tired and feel a bit physically beat up, sometimes, when I look too far ahead or lose focus on today’s steps I am reminded not to say and or try to do too much. Some people I hear from say they are feeling helpless, and that all they can do is pray. Well prayer is everything in this case. Prayer for the sick: James 5:14-15 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. Her as is the case here.
Many of you have inquired how you can help. I have some ideas and will contact you as the need arises.

Prayer for Hilda Heindl

Hello Facebook Friends and Family,

Tomorrow is our 41st wedding anniversary, we hadn’t made any real plans for our anniversary, because of work. And now theres this. We are not complaining because although its not a getaway in some special place, the point is to be together. And that we are. Surrounded by all of you praying for us.

The Doctors and Nurses here at Saddleback Memorial Laguna Hills are so supportive. Hilda needs to gain strength and that has been the priority. The day is filled with visits from Doctors Oncologist, Breathing Therapists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Registered Nurses, 2 hour bed rotations, blood draws, …. Shift change comes usually all new staff, some medications 2 hour bed rotations at night continue.

Hilda has a new mattress to control bed sores. I am helping keep those in check. I am learning so much.

Sorry about the no visitors, because the days are so full, and Hilda needs to actually sleep when she can.

Thank you for all your prayers, Poiema, Calvary San Juan, International friends(Kenya, Uganda, Sudan, people from the Catholic faith.

With our love, in Christ, to you all Tony and Hilda,

Prayer Requests from the Stuebners & CC Managua, Nicaragua

Cal and Jessie Stuebner

  • Please continue to pray for Jessie’s dad. He has been in the hospital twice within the past week for blood clots. Treatment is difficult due to his myodsyplastic disorder (failure of the bone marrow to make new blood cells).
  • Please pray for Jessie’s Eschatology class discussions and plans to be governed by the Holy Spirit.
  • Please continue to pray for the Holy Spirit’s guidance for Cal as he teaches through the book of Revelation on Sundays and Ecclesiastes on Wednesdays.
  • Please, as always, pray for our health and marriage to stay strong.

Calvary Chapel Managua

  • Please pray for the young woman who runs the snack shop at our school (Marcia) to grow in her relationship with the Lord.
  • Please pray for the youth in our church to stay strong in the Lord and in their service to Him.
  • Please pray for the parents of our students, that they will support their kids’ education, and that they also will grow in their relationships with the Lord (or be saved if they aren’t already).
  • Please continue to pray for Nicaragua as there is still a dengue outbreak and political tension.

Prayer update from Veronica and Elijah in Japan

Hi Everyone,

Elijah and I wanted to give you an update since all of you have been part of our journey. We have landed in Osaka, Japan. 3 yr Visa!

Abide Calvary Church is a hidden gem! It is located in Southern Osaka also known as Japan’s kitchen. The Pastor finds ways to do outreach weekly by hosting a game night at church for the Japanese men and women to practice their English while studying the Bible. It’s really genius! Can’t wait to tell you more about it.

Please pray for us as we have applied for an apartment near the church but have not received approval yet. It’s within our budget and resides just 10 min from the church.

Blessings to you all! We will be in touch,

Verijah
